Our Skin Heroes
Salicylic Acid
Salicylic Acid is a BHA exfoliator which works by penetrating deep inside our skin’s pores, unclogging it from excess and trapped oil reducing the formation of acne and blackheads.
Our cleanser is infused with 2% Salicylic Acid, a well-studied concentration known to reduce acne, blackheads and excess oil. This concentration is also known to be effective in exfoliating rough and bumpy skin due to other condition.
Panthenol
Also known as Vitamin B5, is well known for its anti-inflammatory property. Commonly, this is added to help aid skin from irritation and other external aggressor.
Panthenol is also known for its capability to attract moisture into the skin – an important factor in restoring dry and dehydrated skin.
Allantoin
Is an ingredient known for its multiple abilities such as soothing and moisturizing skin. It is also popular for its healing property on minor wounds such as diaper rash, irritations, and particular burns.
Zinc PCA
Zinc PCA is a skin conditioning ingredient that helps reduce the irritation caused by acne. It also works by helping the skin regulates sebum production – cutting the excess oil.
Ceramide
Known to support skin against external aggressors by strengthening it – a good feature if you’re also trying to heal your skin from acne.
On top of that, Ceramide is known in keeping the hydration balance in our skin due to its capability to hold water.

Common Questions:
Q: Will I “purge” using this product?
A: Not everyone goes through purging as this may vary on your skin condition and sensitivity. However, Salicylic Acid, a BHA exfoliator, is often times associated with skin purging as it helps unclogs and accelerate skin turnover – which may cause build up as it surface. Don’t worry – this is temporary. On average, this might take 3 to 6 six weeks, depending on the severity. Take note that this duration varies, depending on the other products you are using. Some people might have shorter duration.
Q: Can I use other exfoliators when using this product?
A: If your skin is sensitive or still trying a new product such as this, it is preferrable not to as it may cause break outs that may appear like purging. The difference between purging and break outs due to irritation is that purging is temporary while the latter will only stop once you discontinue the irritant(s). Unless your doctor specifically told you to use multiple exfoliators, it is recommended to use only one.
Q: Can I use this with any retinol or retinoid products?
A: Yes, given that you have an instruction from your doctor. Salicylic Acid and retinoid / retinol may irritate your skin. Not everyone can use this together especially those with sensitive skin.
Q: Can this remove basic sunscreen and makeup?
A: Yes! Our cleanser can remove your regular day sunscreen and make up. Make sure to gently massage this to your skin, then follow it up with a good rinse.
Q: Should I add this to my routine?
A: We're flattered that you're considering our product into your routine. This cleanser is made specifically for acne prone and oily skin. If your skin is not oily or perhaps on the drier side, this exfoliating cleanser may not be for you as it may dry your skin further. If you have no skin concern or perhaps on the drier side, consider our Amino Acid Gentle Cleanser instead. This cleanser can remove dirt and excess oil without stripping your skin and top of that, it doesn't feel sticky after your rinse it. Also, since this cleanser contains supporting amino acids and no strong actives, it may help your skin barrier recover from irritation.
