Our Skin Heroes
Encapsulated Retinol
This version of retinol is an innovation as it delivers the same benefits of the traditional retinol in a gentler approach. Unlike the traditional retinol which immediately acts as it touches the skin (which often irritates most users), this variant deliver retinol into the skin once it penetrated deep into the layer. The “time release” format of this variant makes it a gentler option for those who are having a hard time tolerating the traditional retinol.
Another advantage of encapsulated retinol is its enhanced stability. Unlike the traditional retinol, this variant is more stable to light and air keeping the potency and effectivity longer.
Peptide
Our formulation uses Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2, a synthetic peptide with four amino acid components known to promote collagen and elastin production – crucial in keeping skin firmness and elasticity.
Licorice Extract
A popular skincare classic known to brightens and even skin tones. Licorice works by inhibiting the production of tyrosinase, an enzyme needed to create melanin. This same enzyme is responsible for dark spots.
Other than its brightening capabilities, Licorice is also known to soothe irritated skin, making it a go to ingredient for sensitive skin.
Allantoin
Is an ingredient known for its multiple abilities such as soothing and moisturizing skin. It is also popular for its healing property on minor wounds such as diaper rash, irritations, and particular burns.
Ceramide
Known to support skin against external aggressors by strengthening it – a suitable feature if you’re also trying to heal your skin from acne.
On top of that, Ceramide is known to assist in keeping the hydration balance in our skin due to its capability to hold water.

Common Questions:
Q: Will I “purge” using this product?
A: Not everyone goes through purging as this may vary on your skin condition and sensitivity. However, retinol, a mild Vitamin A derivative is often times associated with skin purging as it helps accelerate skin turnover – which may cause build up as it surface. Don’t worry – this is temporary. On average, this might take 3 to 6 six weeks, depending on the severity. Take note that this duration varies, depending on the other products you are using. Some people might have shorter duration.
Q: Can I use exfoliators when using this product?
A: If your skin is sensitive or still trying a new product such as this, it is preferrable not to as it may cause break outs that may appear like purging. The difference between purging and break outs due to irritation is that purging is temporary while the latter will only stop once you discontinue the irritant(s). Unless your doctor specifically told you to use multiple exfoliators, it is recommended to use only one.
Q: Can I use more retinol products on top this?
A: It is recommended not to use another retinol / retinoid products when using this. Too much retinol / retinoid in your routine will increase your chance of getting irritations.
Q: How long does it take to see results?
A: Retinol is not an overnight magic. It takes 2 to 4 months to see visible results. It is important to slowly introduce this product into your routine to avoid irritation. Dryness or irritation does not equate to effectivity. Consistency and patient is the key to all retinol products.
